Description: This layer includes an outline of the building, generally corresponding to the roof of the building, although it may extend over awnings and other lower building projects, to be representative of the maximum extent of a building. This FC is the primary location building attribute information is stored. Other building-related FC’s link to this for attribute data.This FC include a cartographic representation used for drop shadows. This representation symbology shows by default with the FC is added to a new map document.Exclusions:This does not include ramadas, carports, etc., unless a space number has been assigned by Real Estate. This type of feature goes on the StructuresMisc layer.FieldsOBJECTID* Name: This is the official building name, and is updated by script from the v_public_buildings view, which is derived from epm_bldg table, which is derived from a view of the EPM space data. Sensitive building names are removed via query in the V_public_buildings view, although the building shapes remain on the map. ShowMe: This provides a classification of buildings that is used for a generalized presentation of building uses across campus. SpaceNumText: This is the building number that matches the official assigned number in the Archibus system, in this case stored as text, with the “extension” included as a number (e.g., 100.01)CartoName: This is a shortened building name maintained by EGIS used for labeling buildings that do not allow the full name to fit within the building polygon. AliasName: This is an alternative “AKA” building name for buildings that are commonly referred to by this name rather than the official building name. HighlightName: This field contains building names used to label the resulting highlighted buildings when right-panel legend items are enabled (Attractions, Student housing, Athletics, etc.) on the Public Web Map. This was created so that only selected buildings (residence halls, sports buildings, museums, etc.) would be labeled, and it provides the ability to customize labels, such that a building with an interior “Attraction”, such as the name of a library (e.g., the highlight label reads “Architecture Library” rather than “CALA”).Shape*SISAbbrev: Building abbreviation imported from EPM. City: City the building is in.County: County the building is in.State: State the building is in.Zip: Zip code the building is in.ConditionDesc: Building condition description, imported from EPM.ConstructionType: Building construction type, imported from EPM.PlanLD: Building “plan type” long description, imported from EPM.OwnershipDesc: Building ownership type description, imported from EPM.GrossArea: Building gross square feet, imported from EPM.UASiteID: ID of the site the building belongs to. Assigned by EGIS.BID: Unique ID of the building, assigned by EGIS. Automatically populatedPhotoURL: URL of building photo, stored on PDC webserver. Automatically populatedAverageHeight: A measure of the average height of the building. Need to import form old sources (10/14). Use will be from generalized 3D building extrusions.EGISID: The Enterprise GIS identification number. This number is automatically generated and incremented by a script. This is a Long field with a precision = 10. Do not edit this number.Sustainability: A Yes/No field that triggers the auto-increment script for row creation in the Green Features table. Toggling this field to “Yes” will create a row that has the same EGISID as the feature that has been attributed “Yes”. Changing this value from “Yes” to “No” will delete the row in the Green Features table. Leaving the value “Null” will not result in creating a row, and changing from “Yes” to “Null” will not delete an existing row.LEEDCertificationDate: This field contains the date on which a building obtained LEED CertificationLEEDCertificationRank: This field contains the rank of LEED Certification a building has been awarded.Populated via CVD: LEEDCertificationRank1 Certified2 Silver3 Gold4 PlatinumBuildingUserURL: This field contains the URL for the appropriate building user organization. For example, current uses include linking to specific residence hall websites.SpaceNumOrigin Field with building number matching the space database numbering scheme.
